Workshop and videoperformance, 2000 KHIB,Bergen, Norway
The first step in this workshop was to become familiar with the dimensions
and qualities of spaces. Even on private occasions every space that is
larger than the usual room size poses a challenge regarding appearance,
the shaping of movements, voice and action.
This is especially true in terms of another component during a performance:
the audience.
Using a very simple set of rules based on one of Stanislavskij´s work principles, allowing only one action per person and appearance, the complexity of movements, time and action were consciously explored. This created another rhythm through the slowing down of the performers actions and reactions. |
